Meet Frankie. He just graduated from Humboldt State University here in northern California. He is from Africa but has decided to stay in the United States until further notice. He is now accepting appointments for this coming school year. He just loves "Show-n-Tell " and promises to bring his best buddy Spidey the Amazing Arachnid.

I was given two tickets for tonight's match as payment for making "Purple Heart" patches for the team. Each time a team member is injured ( seriously ) they will receive one of my patches to sew on their jacket. This will be the first live match I've ever been to. I remember seeing matches on channel U when I was young. ( anyone old enough to remember channel U ? )  YIKES! I'm getting old!

Band-Aid ?

This morning I had a Mammogram. For those of you who have had this experience, you know what these are used for. For those who don't ( if you are faint of heart , click off this post now. We will wait........... ) For all you brave woman ( maybe some men ) who are still here, I will explain. These are placed DIRECTLY on the nipple. They look like a band-aid. Smell like a band-aid, and feel like a band-aid. The difference is, they have a metal ball on the end so the technicians will know where this particular body part is while reading your x-rays. After the procedure is finished, you return to the changing room. Now, for the dreaded band-aid rip! eekk ! Then, it was over. I wiped a bead of sweat off my upper lip and continued to put my clothes back on. I only lost one layer of skin; which in retrospect, isn't that bad. On the drive home I was longing for the earlier days when you were given authentic pasties with a silver stud on the end. You could wear those home, add a tassel and you were ready for a night out on the town.
