Done With Dawdlin' Week 7
Two Baby Showers this week. It put a big dent in my baby gifts. ( that's a good thing) My stash has been cleaned up as best as it can be. It needs more work ,but for the time being it is fine.
This week I want to work on UFO's. Five seems to be a good number for me. Let's see how far I can get.
I'm still waiting to hear from the art gallery about my submissions. I'm so excited!

Graco Stroller Recall
What is this announcement?
As parents ourselves, safety is always our top priority at Graco. In January 2008 a voluntary, US-specific standard was issued increasing the height of the opening between the stroller’s tray and the seat bottom. This standard was issued in response to a finding that, when left unharnessed in the stroller, infants can slide down and become entrapped between the stroller seat and tray.
Graco is issuing a voluntary recall for older models of Graco Quattro Tour™ and MetroLite™ strollers and travel systems that were manufactured prior to the introduction of this tray height standard.
If you think you might have one of these strollers:
- Check to see if you have an affected stroller and order a repair kit by using this online form or calling Graco toll free at (877) 828-4046 (available 24 hrs, 7 days a week)
- Stop using your stroller until your repair kit has arrived; however, it is safe to continue to use these strollers as a travel system (with an infant car seat attached).
Which strollers are involved in this announcement? This recall affects the Quattro Tour™ strollers and travel systems manufactured prior to November 2006, and MetroLite™ strollers and travel systems manufactured prior to July 2007. No other Graco strollers are affected by this notice. You can check to see if your model is affected here.
What do I need to do if I think I have one of these products?
Although this is deemed a recall in the U.S., there is no need to return your product. Instead, repair kits will be made available, free of charge, for consumers with affected stroller models globally upon request.
To order a repair kit in the U.S., click here or call Graco toll-free at (877) 828-4046 anytime. If you live outside of the U.S., please visit our international contact page to find local contact information.
Are products sold outside of the United States affected by this action? We are offering repair kits to all consumers with affected strollers worldwide; however, there have been no reported incidences of injuries from these strollers outside of the U.S. For international contact information and to order a repair kit if you think your stroller might be affected, click here.
This stroller has been sold in the United States, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, Europe and Asia.
What is the safety concern?Entrapment and strangulation can occur, especially to infants under 12 months of age, when a child is not harnessed. An infant can pass through the opening between the stroller tray and seat bottom, but his/her head and neck can become entrapped by the tray.
What model numbers are included in this announcement?Models included in the recall are:

Do I need to return my stroller to the store or to Graco?
No, you do not need to return your stroller. You can request the repair kit by filling out an online form here. The repair kit can be easily affixed, and instructions and a video demonstration are coming soon and will be posted here.
What will I receive when I order the repair kit?You will receive a fabric restraint that closes the gap between the stroller tray and stroller seat.
Is it safe to use my stroller while I wait for the repair kit to arrive?
Until your repair kit arrives and you have fitted it to your stroller, Graco recommends that you stop using your stroller. Your repair kit should arrive in about 7 – 10 business days. Your stroller is still safe to use as a travel system with a car seat. When using a stroller, we always recommend securing a child in a safety harness and never leaving them unattended. The repair kit is not a replacement to using a stroller’s safety harness.
Will there be different color repair kit is available?
The repair kit will be offered in tan for Quattro Tour Strollers, and grey for MetroLite strollers in the U.S.
Does this repair kit fit other similar strollers?
This repair kit is designed only to fit these specific designs of Graco strollers. They are not available to owners of other strollers or for other Graco stroller models.
What information do I need when I order my repair kit? Please be prepared with your model number and manufacture date, which can be found on a sticker located on the lower, inside portion of the rear frame, above the rear wheels or underneath the stroller.
Where were the affected models sold?
The strollers were sold at AAFES, Babies R Us, Burlington Coat Factory, Fred Meyer, Kmart, Meijers, Navy Exchange, Sears, Target, Walmart and other stores nationwide between November 2000 and December 2007 for between $90 and $190 for the strollers, and between $190 and $250 for travel systems.
When were the affected models sold?
The affected models were distributed between November 2000 and December 2007.
Does this announcement affect products that are currently in stores? No, only Quattro Tour™ strollers and travel systems manufactured prior to November 2006, and MetroLite™ strollers and travel systems manufactured prior to July 2007 are affected. Some models may still be available at second-hand stores.
I have more than one Graco stroller. Can I order more than one repair kit?Yes, you will be able to order up to three repair kits per order.

Done With Dawdlin' Week 6
So my big stash clean up didn't go so well. I made a dent in it and got rid of somethings ( baby shower gifts ) but it is still spilling out onto the floor. Living in cramped quarters does not give me very many options, so I have to make do.
Next weeks challenge:
Make a bigger dent in the stash department
Get personalized bibs embroidered for another baby shower

It's my birthday !
So, I should be excited , right ?!?! For some reason it just feels weird. I am now 35 for the eleventh time.
Turning 35 has somehow lost it's appeal. In all reality ( which I try to avoid ) I am now officially 45 years old.
It's not the number that bothers me. It's just that it got here so fast.
Time really does fly when your having fun!

Done With Dawdlin' Week 5
Last weeks challenge was to find a craft fair for this holiday season. I've been looking but most sign-ups are over. There is one I found being hosted at an Indian Casino. I have to think about it.
My five UFO's - I made six reusable bags. It's not much but at least it is something.
Next weeks challenge: Clean up my stash area (eeek)
